It’s great to have an apartment in the center of Paris with a breathtaking view from the window. The owners of this apartment are a young couple that loves travelling and having guests over.
The interior, created for them, shall render the atmosphere of the place and at the same time bring a sense of freshness, openness and modernity. Before getting down to work, we’d analyzed Parisian interiors; mostly it was eclectic with a slight touch of glamor and nonchalance.
We redesigned this apartment as much as possible to make it more spacious. Initially this 140 square meter apartment was been divided into small rooms and storerooms, and our team has divided the space into larger blocks: fireplace area, TV area, dining room with kitchen, master unit with bathroom and dressing room, and a guest room with a bathroom. As a result, we got an open space flooded with sunlight.
Our client has an artistic sort, loves bright colors and mirrors, we used this information to play with space. Since the apartment is not for permanent residence, it gave us an opportunity to use bright colors and vivid graphics freely. The sleeping area as opposed to the living room is made in soft cream colors and invites to relax.
Curved ceiling both in the bathroom and in the hall refer to classic style, which supports the antique spirit of this apartment. On the other hand, modern pieces of furniture, as well as areas such as the kitchen, function as a bridge to everything beautiful, comfortable and ergonomic, which is created today. The centerpiece of this interior is considered to be the emerald wall with decorative protruding elements in the TV area, which was created according to our sketches made in Ukraine.
What is more – head of the bed, furniture in master’s bathroom, and decor on the ceiling and on the walls in the bedroom all these were made in Ukraine. Needless to say, we could not resist the temptation to visit Paris flea markets – this is where we found fireplace portal and mirrors of the XIX century, which perfectly conjoin with modern home decoration.
