The sewer line is like your waste directory.  The master pipes through which wastewater flows out of your house to the sewer main underneath the street. This pipe could get broken or even clogged up. 

When you acquire a new property, you must check the sewer line to ensure you won’t have issues with your sewage water after moving in. 

The toilets 

The toilets are another place you should check for leakages. If there is a leakage in the toilets that go unattended, it could get worse and pose a problem in the future. If the toilet seat is rocking,  it’s too old and needs to be changed. 

All pipes must be adequately checked that transport water in and out of the house. If these pipes are already malfunctioning or faulty, then they need attention. 

2. Pest

You need to ensure that your new house is not pest infested. Pest, if not taken care of can prove very deadly and destructive. A home could be found with tons of problems. The most popular ones include ants, bats, rodents, roaches, termites, bed bugs, mosquitoes, etc. 

Some pests can be easily detected, and others could go undetected for weeks until they start wreaking havoc. Also, you should check the connection between the air conditions, room heaters, water heaters, and all other appliances connected to electricity. Ensure they are all working correctly. 

You might also want to check the telephone connection and every other connection that you would need in the long run. If the interconnections in a house are wrong,  you would have to spend extra if you still consider taking  place. 

5. Topography 

Most times, it’s effortless to get impressed with the interior of a house that you forget that there are factors outside which affect the house in the long run. A good example is topography. Some homes have a very terrible topography. The way the house is built is a sign of trouble. 

Most times, regular house buyers can’t tell the difference. If the floor level outside the house is not constructed correctly, you could have a home that would be waterlogged during the rainy seasons. Also, if the floor outside doesn’t slop away from the house, it’s a sign of trouble. It could be an area that quickly gets waterlogged. That’s a complete turn-off, and you shouldn’t consider such a property anymore. 

6. Rondon
