Elegant Lisbon living was the challenge presented to Ana Atunes, celebrated Portuguese interior designer and former TV presenter, when she took on a remake of the interior spaces of her own fashion district apartment in Lisbon near the Tagus River.
“The space is a perfect mix of historic architecture with a modern glamour decorarting approach,” says Ana. “The light in this house is breathtaking and the view over the Targus River and the bridge is amazing.”
The family apartment in downtown Lisbon is surrounded by sixteenth century palaces and historically significant buildings. Therefore, her careful selection of restyling included pastel color shades, chevron rugs, gray walls, high ceiling accents, designer’s guild fabrics, a pink, chandelier, round mirrors, turquoise details, light blue chairs, blue walls, classic style, white leather couch, white sofa, tiffany blue and turquoise walls.
“Decorating my home is the constant search for achieving a great balance of a stimulating but calming place where you can find old cherished objects living with modern ones,” said Ana. The result she achieved is a contemporary glamorous interior building upon the apartments intrinsically comfortable spaces and historic style.
